A full stack developer builds features end to end: the interface a user sees, the API behind it and the data it reads and writes. Most teams have specialists, but a full stack developer can take a feature from a design to production without waiting on someone else for each layer.
The most common stack today is TypeScript and React on the front end, often with Next.js, and Node.js, Python or Go behind it, with a relational database such as PostgreSQL.
What you will do
- Build user interfaces in React and TypeScript, including forms, validation and state management.
- Build pages with Next.js and decide what renders on the server and what runs in the browser.
- Design and implement REST or GraphQL APIs and the data models behind them.
- Write tests across the stack, such as unit tests and end-to-end tests with Playwright or Cypress.
- Review code, monitor features in production and fix what breaks.
- Work with product and design to shape a feature, not only to deliver a ticket.
What we look for
- Professional experience building production web applications.
- Strong TypeScript and React, with an understanding of rendering, state and side effects.
- Experience with Next.js, including server components and data fetching.
- Backend experience with Node.js or another server language, and with SQL databases.
- Comfort with Git beyond the basics: branches, rebases, resolving conflicts.
Nice to have
- Performance work in the browser and on the server.
- Accessibility and design systems.
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Docker, and a cloud platform such as AWS.
About this mock test
One hour on a real Linux machine, in a terminal in your browser. You fix a broken React form, a Next.js page and a Node.js API, then answer short written questions on server components and Git.
This is practice. There is no job at the end of it. It is the same interview format employers run on EasyEnv, so you can measure yourself against what companies hiring for this role ask for, and see where you need more work.
Applying needs a free EasyEnv account, so the company knows who applied and you can follow your application. The interview runs on a real machine, so it needs a desktop browser.
