SELECT and WHERE

Your table has ten thousand products in it and you need the six that are out of stock in the electronics category. Everything you will ever do with a database is some version of that sentence: these rows, these columns, in this order. SELECT is the verb that pulls data back out, and the clauses attached to it are how you say precisely which data.
