tsconfig and the Compiler

tsconfig.json is the file the TypeScript compiler reads to figure out what to compile and how. There are over a hundred options, but a real project uses maybe a dozen. This lesson covers the dozen, plus the rules of thumb for picking values that age well.

When you run tsc with no arguments, it looks for a tsconfig.json starting from the current directory and walking up. Once it finds one, it compiles every .ts file it can reach according to the rules in that file. ...
