Every module name in this course has carried a prefix you may have been quietly ignoring: ansible.builtin.copy, ansible.builtin.template, ansible.builtin.service. It looks like ceremony. It is not. That prefix is an address, and once you can read it, three things stop being mysterious at once: why some modules work on a fresh install and others do not, why a colleague's playbook fails on your machine with "couldn't...
Ansible itself is small. What makes it useful is a large body of modules for talking to specific things: PostgreSQL, AWS, Cisco switches, Windows registries, timezone files. Shipping all of that in one download would be enormous, and almost none of it would be relevant to any single user.
