Hello, Go
Part of the Go course
Welcome. If you have never written code before, you are in the right place. Go is a programming language, which is a way to give a computer step by step instructions in something that looks a bit like English with extra punctuation. By the end of this lesson you will have run your first Go program and you will know what a package is. That is the whole job. We are not in a rush.
Look at your workspace. The editor is already open with a file called hello.go. The editor is the panel where you can read and change code. Above (or near) the file there is a play button (a small triangle). Clicking it tells the computer "run this file from top to bottom."
